6th International Conference on Biodiversity (ICB 2026)

The 6th International Conference on Biodiversity (ICB 2026) will be held on 11–12 November 2026 at Meliá Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Under the theme “Biodiversity and Sustainable Food Systems in the Net-Zero Economy,” ICB 2026 brings together research, industry and practical solutions across the full agricultural and food-system value chain — from biodiversity-rich landscapes and primary production to plantations, processing and mill operations, food systems, responsible markets, circular bioeconomy and the transition towards net zero.

The conference welcomes researchers, academics, postgraduate students, government and regulatory agencies, plantation and agricultural operators, palm oil mills and processing industries, food-system stakeholders, sustainability and ESG practitioners, HCV and environmental professionals, technology providers, carbon-market practitioners and innovators.

ICB 2026 particularly encourages research, technical case studies, innovations and industry solutions addressing biodiversity conservation and restoration; Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and High Conservation Value (HCV); sustainable plantation and primary production; mill and processing operations; biomass and waste valorisation; circular bioeconomy; sustainable food systems and technology; carbon markets; biochar and carbon removal; nature- and technology-based solutions; MRV; renewable energy; and net-zero transition strategies. These areas reflect the conference’s five thematic scopes, including the explicit coverage of mills, biomass valorisation, biochar carbon removal and sustainable plantations. ICB 2026 will also feature invited expert sessions, networking and industry engagement opportunities, together with a technical workshop on High Conservation Value (HCV) Assessment for MSPO Compliance.

Researchers and industry practitioners from Malaysia and internationally are invited to present their work, showcase innovations, exchange technical knowledge and explore opportunities for research collaboration, industry partnerships and practical implementation.
